GETTING HERE

What is the address?

7171 Teakettle Road, Columbia Falls, MT 59912. The property sits on the backside of a mountain – allow extra time if it’s your first visit. GPS is reliable to the gate.

How far is it from Glacier National Park and nearby towns?
  • Glacier National Park — 30 minutes
  • Columbia Falls — 20 minutes
  • Whitefish — 40 minutes
  • Flathead Valley Airport (FCA) — 40 minutes
Do I need a specific type of vehicle?

AWD or 4WD is required from December through April. Roads are plowed and maintained regularly, but snow and ice remain after clearing. Plan for 5–10 additional minutes of travel time in winter conditions.

How many cars can we bring?

2 vehicles maximum per unit. Designated parking spaces are provided directly next to each treehouse.

What should I bring?

Layers – mountain weather shifts fast, even in summer. 4WD or AWD vehicle December through April. Bear spray if hiking in or near Glacier. Beyond that, units are fully stocked: kitchen, linens, towels, toiletries, coffee, washer/dryer. Download offline maps and Glacier permits before arrival – cell service is limited.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM.

How do I get into my unit?

Every unit has a smart lock. Your access code is sent prior to arrival through your booking platform.

Is early check-in or late check-out available?

Early check-in and late check-out are not typically available. Units require full cleaning time between stays. Please plan your arrival after 4:00 PM and your departure by 10:00 AM.

Is there anything I need to complete before arriving?

A rental agreement must be signed prior to arrival. Guests who have not signed will be at risk of having their reservation cancelled with no refund. The agreement is sent through your booking platform after you reserve.

THE PROPERTY

Are the units private?

Fully private. Four treehouses on 10 acres, each with its own entrance, parking, deck, and fire pits. No interior or exterior spaces are shared between units. Other guests may be on the property, but each unit is self-contained with independent access.

How close are the other treehouses?

Units 1 and 2 are approximately 200 feet apart on one side of the property. Units 3 and 4 are on the far side. All treehouses are properly equipped with privacy in mind.

I heard there’s a train, what’s that like?

A freight line runs alongside the property. Trains pass throughout the day and night on a schedule we can’t control. They’ll sometimes come through and blow their horn for safety as a mandate. You’ll hear them most from Treehouses 1 and 2, and faintly from 3 and 4. Earplugs and fans are provided in every unit for noise-sensitive guests.

Is there cell service?

Limited. Most carriers have weak or no signal on the property. All units have Starlink WiFi for data. Download offline maps, Glacier entry reservations, and anything else you’ll need before arriving.

Are the treehouses accessible?

The treehouses are elevated structures accessed by exterior stairs. They are not wheelchair accessible. The property is up forest roads, mostly unpaved and uneven terrain.

What’s included in every unit?

Do all units have a TV?

Yes — every unit has a Smart TV in the living room and each bedroom, with all major streaming apps available.

How does the dishwasher work?

The dishwasher is hidden behind a cabinet panel to the right of the sink. Hold the door open while loading — it will close on you if released.

How does the stove work?

Tap and hold the keylock control for 3 seconds, then tap the power button to turn it on. The stove will not activate unless a pot or pan is on a burner. To raise the vent, tap the button at the top right of the stove.

How do I get the WiFi credentials?

WiFi credentials for your specific unit are included in your booking confirmation. All units run on Starlink — fast and reliable even in a remote location.

POLICIES

Are pets allowed?

Yes — up to 2 small-to-medium dogs per unit. No cats. A $50 pet fee applies. Dogs are not permitted on beds or furniture. If left unsupervised, dogs must be crated. A dog bed is provided in each unit.

How many guests can stay?

4 overnight guests maximum per unit. Day visitors are not included.

Is smoking allowed?

No smoking anywhere on the property.

Can we have a fire outside?

No open fires. Propane fire pits are available on the covered balconies at each unit — propane is provided. The outdoor grill is available with proper clearance and ventilation. Please be fire-aware and follow safety guidelines.

Where does the trash go?

A bear-proof trash can is located under each home. Do not leave any trash outside the unit — bears are active on the property.

WILDLIFE

What wildlife should we expect?

Bears, mountain lions, deer, and elk pass through the property regularly. The treehouses sit on the backside of a mountain in dense forest – wildlife sightings are common and part of the experience. Observe from a safe distance. Do not approach any animal. Use the bear-proof trash cans – leaving food or trash outside the unit increases the likelihood of a close encounter.

CANCELLATIONS

What is the cancellation policy?

For direct bookings: full refund if cancelled 60+ days before check-in, 50% refund at 30–59 days, and non-refundable under 30 days. No refund for no-shows or early departures. Reservations made through Airbnb or VRBO follow the cancellation terms of that platform.

How do I cancel or modify a reservation?

Cancel or modify through the platform where you booked – Airbnb, VRBO, or direct. All changes must be processed through the original booking platform.

THE AREA

How far is Glacier National Park?

30 minutes from the property. The park’s west entrance at Apgar is the closest access point. Going-to-the-Sun Road is open seasonally – typically June through mid-October, weather dependent.
